As a high-tech product used in electronic, microelectronic, optoelectronic and other fields, the photoelectron glass plays an important role in the development of modern science and technology. Based on the blue phosphor powder BaMgAl10O17∶Eu2+(BAM) for plasma display panel (PDP) upon addition of B2O3 and alkaline earth metal ions (Mg2+, Sr2+, Ba2+), aluminoborate transparent fluorescent glass was prepared by melting method at high temperature. The spectral analyses showed that in the ultraviolet and violet/blue region, the aluminoborate transparent glass was effectively excited with different alkaline earth metal elements. Strong emission was observed in the blue band. The red shift followed the order of adding alkaline earth metal ions Mg2+, Ba2+ and Sr2+. The luminescent intensities of the samples reduced by the order of adding alkaline earth metal ions Mg2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+.
