Abstract: This paper describes the development of a computer aided designing system for CATV network engineering,which can ease designers from their heavy and tedious work.It can also make the design more efficient and get a better quality.The approach enhances AutoCAD by adding some ADS application modules programed with visual C ++ and ADS tool so that the new AutoCAD system can serve for electrical designing and function as a two dimensional message processing system which can process both graphical and electrical data on the screen.
