Abstract: Process simulation of heat mass transfer of quench chamber in Texaco gasifier has been made. The simulation value is in good agreement with plant results. By this simulation, the main causes of quench ring damage have been found. A new method for its long term run is discussed, and the proposal of a new type quench ring is suggested.
