Abstract:
A two dimensional modeling of fluid flow in the laminr chemical vapor condensation reactor is presented, velocity and pressure fields are solved by means of the algorithm of SIMPLEC. The calculated results are in good accordance with the experimental data from the literature. The parametric effects of jet Reynolds number and the jet to plate spacing on the flow characteristics such as contours of stream function, jet axial velocity, streamwise velocity and pressure distribution along the impingement plate are also investigated.
