Abstract:
Multichromophoric(bi-or tri-chromophoric)laser dyes, consisting of 1,8naphthalimide derivatives as antennas and rhodamine 6G,rhodamine 101,rhodamine B or rhodamine DR-21 as a lasing moiety linked via an ethylene, have been synthesized and investigated by means of measurements of absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra. The fluorescence of the antennas in these multichromophoric dyes was partly quenched. The energy transfer from antenna to rhodaminc is observed, the fluorescencc quantum yield of the multichromophoric dyes can be increased by this energy transfer to rhodamine.
