    A Study on Effect of Mixing Conditions and Mixer Type on Particle Size Distribution in Double-jet Precipitation

    • Barium sulfate has been precipitated from sodium sulfate and barium chloride. Different reactor types,feed strategies and mixing conditions have been used.They include agitated reactor,static mixer reactor,different feed points,different impeller types and vari-ous agitation speeds.It is discovered that fine particles and narrow distribution can be ob-tained in combination of static mixer and stirred tank reactor,also the crystal size can be controlled easily.
