Abstract
The influence of carbon black on rubber reinforcement was studied. A new reinforcement model, supernetwork structure model, was proposed. The supernetwork was composed of nonreversible chemical crosslinking and reversible physical crosslink due to carbon blackrubber interaction. The two crosslinkings were not isolated but interlaced with each other. With the strength of reversible physical crosslink increasing, carbon black reinforcement became more effective.
