Abstract

A new type of clamping mechanism is studied. A mathematical model for optimal designs is developed, wheie the extractiog time and dwell time are chosen as the objective functions. The optimization calculation shows that the technical property of this mechanism is distinctly improved. The resulted geometric parameters are useful as reference value for some engineering designs.
