    Creep Behavior of SiC-fiber(Nicalon)Reinforced Glassceramics

    • The creep behavior of new developed SiC-fiber reinforced glassceramics was investigated and it was characterized by primary,secondary and tertiary creep regimes depending on testing temperatue and applied load.The main structure changes in the creep process were fiber rearrangment,the oxidation of the C-rich interfacial layer and crystal growth within the matrix.Although the loading limits of the composite was determined by the residual glassy phase,the incorporation of the fiber leaded to a significant increase in the thermomechanical Properties.
