Abstract
Based on the maximum entropy principle (MEP), the influence of the liquid-to-gas mass flux ratio on the droplet size distribution was studied at a certain gas velocity. A mathematical model was proposed, which can be used to predict the droplet size distribution of the three-channel airblast nozzle using the normalization, specific surface area constraint and large drop constraint. The model is simple and the simulation results agree well with the experimental data.
