A Study of Sabattier Effect of Internany Sensitized Emulsions

Core-shell emulsions with varying degree of internal sensitization by sulfur plusgold were used to study Sabattier effect.It is indicated that with increase of internal sensitizationthe internal sensitivity increases while the surface sensitivitv decreases.An emulsion, whose in-ternal sensitivity is almost equal to the surface sensitivity,shows Sabatt ier effect with partially re-versal image,and an emulsion,whose internal sensitivity is larger than the surface sensJtivity,shows Sabattier effect with completely reversal image. When the internal sensitivity is large e-nough, the density of the surface image is too low to show Sabattier effect.
