Synthesis and Properties of Large Cation Heteropolyacid Salts

A series of 3,6-di(dimethylamino)-dibenzopyriodonium salts of 11-tungstosilicate and 12-tungstosilicate were synthesized with K_(?)SiW_(11)O_(39), H_4SiW_(12)O_(40) and 3,6-di(dimethylamino)-dibenzopyriodonium formate in ethanol-aqueous solution respectively. They are insoluble in water, ethanol, methanol, acetone, chloroform and benzene, but soluble in DMA, DMF and DMSO. They were studied by IR spectra, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses, UV-spectra, molar conductance as well as ~1H-NMR spectra.
