Real-time Expert Control System for Pressure Difference of the Ethylene Distillation Column

Based on the ethylene distillation mechanism, a kind of real time expert control system(RECS) is presented for pressure difference of the ethylene distillation column in olefins plants. The design and realization of RECS are discussed in detail. The successful application of this system to a large scale olefins plant shows that the system is convenient for maintenance, and has a friendly man machine interface.
