Transient Response and Oscillation Operation of Benzene Oxidation on Catalyst V_2O_5

By combining transient response experiment with forced concentration oscillation, the reaction behavior of benzene oxidation on the catalyst V_2O_5 can be determined. Product enhancement is observed during this periodic operation. The mechanism of catalytic reaction can be explained and the behavior of concentration oscillation during this reaction process is determined. The relation between oscillation period and response behavior has also been studied with two different period forms, viz, regular and non-regular square waves.
