An Optimal Expert System for the Distillation Column of Ethylene

Based on the knowledge of optimizing control of ethylene distillation column, an optimizing expert system on production rules is established employing maximum recovery ratio of ethylene as objective function. The forward inference with the fact drive is applied. Simulation studies show that the expert system is simple, effective and reliable.
