Abstract
For the ring-chlorination of p-chlorotoluene under the catalysis of SbCl_3, the products distrbution of the consecution reaction in different temperature at the given limit of chlorination level is in agreement with first order reaction kinetics and is nearly independent of the temperature, and no influence of temperature on reaction rate constant ratio has been found. The highest yield of dichlorotoluene and the conversion of p-chlorotoluene corresponding to that yield were obtained.
