    Electropolymerization Coating of Acrylic Acid on Surface of Carbon Fiber and Study on the Interface of Fiber/Coating/Matrix

    • The electropolymerization occurred on surface of carbon fiber in aqueous solution of 10% acrylic acid was studied. The characterization of the polymerization and determination of the polymer were carried out by FT-IR, ~(13)C-NMR, XPS, SEM and elemental analysis, etc. The results indicated that the interface of coating/carbon fiber is physical adhesion, chemical bonding of polymer to fiber and popcorn polymer exists, but interface of coating/matrix is only chemical bonding.
