    Life Prediction of Crane Based on Finite Element Analysis and Effective Stress Intensity Factor Range

    • Abstract: In order to solve the life prediction problem of quayside crane, the paper presents a life prediction method of crane based on element finite analysis and effective stress intensity factor range. The finite element analysis was done by using Ansys Workbench and the stress time history of the fatigue check point was got. Stress cycles got by rain flow counting method were represented by effective stress range. In the process of life prediction, the effective stress intensity factor range can reflect the effect of stress radio. Compared with the traditional Paris model, the result of life prediction of crane on the basis of effective stress intensity is more accurate.
