Parameter Correlation Analysis and Optimization of Process in the Early Period of Erythromycin Fermentation

    • The metabolic feature of the early period fermentation process of erythromycin were studied. Monitoring of some online parameters, such as oxygew uptake rate (OUR), carbon dioxide exit rate (CER), respiratory quotient (RQ), which are characteristics of macro-metabolic flux, is the basis of the optimization of bioprocess. The stringent glucose feeding strategies in the early phase was adopted and the productivity of erythromycin was raised to 6 000 u/mL from 4 500 u/mL.
