Acid Leaching of Al, Fe, Si from Sintered Mixture of Sodium Carbonate and Fly Ash

    • Acid leaching of Al, Fe and Si from sintered mixture of sodium carbonate (SC) and fly ash (FA) was investigated in this research. The results showed that nepheline was formed in the reaction of SC and mullite from FA, accompanied with the release of CO2. Leaching behavior of Fe was the same as that of Al, however, Fe was extracted easier. Silica was leached from SC FA mixture started transferring to complete melting from sintering state, and more than 2% of silica was leached.
