Abstract
A rigid bispidone, 2,4 bis (2 pyridin) 3,7 diazabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane N,N 1,5 dicarboxylate was synthesized by acetone 1,3 dicarboxylate, 2 picolylamine, methylamine and formaldehyde via Mannich reactions. The bispidone was characterized by 1H NMR and MS, and was further combined with Mn(II)Cl2 to afford a manganese(II) complex. The UV vis spectrum of the complex showed a strong absorption at the range of 233—286 nm, and the maximum was at 258 nm. When the complex was used together with a certain amount of detergent, it could well bleach the red ink stains on cotton textile. The results indicated that the complex could perform a favorable photobleaching effect on a low mass fraction (0.1%—0.3%), a low washing temperature (10—30 °C) with sunshine.
