    Electroless Deposition of Ni-Mo-P Alloys and Their Corrosion Performance in 5% NaCl Solution

    • The deposition parameters, structures and element distribution of electroless Ni-Mo-P deposits, which were obtained from plating baths containing tartrate-lactic acid as complexing agent, were studied. Corrosion performance of Ni-Mo-P deposits were investigated by immersion corrosion test, neutral salt spray and ferroxyl test as well as electrochemical corrosion measurement technique. Experimental results showed that Ni-Mo-P deposits exhibit good an- ticorrosion behavior. Anticorrosive mechanism was revealed by surface analysis and electrochemical test techniques. It showed that good anticorrosion is attributed to homogeneous amorphous structure of Ni-Mo-P alloy and protective passive film formed on the surface of alloy.
