Application of Valero Algebraic Model to Analysis of Equipments of Synthetic Acetic Acid

The exergy-economic analysis was carried out with subject model for equip: ments of synthetic acetic acid. Calculation of the exergetic value, the exergetic cost, and the thermoeconomic cost of physical flow was made with the data from commencial practice for 18 kt/Y and 30 kt/Y production scale. The results of exergy-economic analysis in this paper agree with those from commercial practice.
