Micro-Blog User Recommendation Based on Community Discovery and Topic Analysis

By considering several existing friend recommendation algorithms and trust transmission factors in social networks, this paper proposed a recommendation model, i.e., two stage recommendation method. This algorithm firstly considered the trust degree to discover the community, and then, computed the user's topic similarity via topic analysis. The objective of the proposed algorithm was to recommending the potential friends to a user who was interested in, so as to enlarge the circle of friends and enhance user stickness accordingly.
