Abstract
Effects of coupling agent(KH550) and maleic anhydride graft polypropylene(MPP) on the interface state and rheological properties of the polypropylene/glass bead(PP/GB) composite were stu-(died).Viscosity,dynamic properties and interfacial morphology of the composite were investigated by ARES rotational rheometer and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results show that the composite viscosity and modulus increase by adding glass beads and the more glass beads, the higher viscosity and modulus. The composites including glass beads treated by KH550 coupling agent has higher viscosity and modulus and the glass bead's surface become rough. However the compatibility of this system is still poor.Furthermore, inducing MPP into this system can decrease the value of viscosity because of its low molecular weight and improved compatibility.Although the "polymer brush" formed by the interfacial reaction between KH550 and MPP causes the increasing of viscosity,it has less effect on the system.
