Color Recognition of Tyre Marking Points Based on Support Vector Machine

In order to solve the problem of low efficiency and high error in color recognition of tyre marking points manually, a method of color recognition of tyre marking points based on support vector machine is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the images of tyre marking points will be obtained by the designed PLC industry camera system. Then the tyre marking points images will be conducted by image de noising, image segmentation and extraction hue vectors. Lastly, the extracted hue vectors will be classified by support vector machine classifier. Experimental results show that the color of tyre marking points can be discriminated effectively by proposed method.
