    Optical Bistability in Nematic Liquid Crystals Acted on by Electric Field

    • This paper repots that optical bistability is achieved When both He-Ne laser and external electric field act simultaneously on nematic phase liquid crystals(8CB,5CB)in F-P cavity. The relationships between maximum light Intensity,switch off light inten sity and electric voltage were obtained.
