The shear effect on the large deflection analysis involved in the symmetrical circular plates

Starting from Reissner's theory with particular attention to the shearing effect, amore precise equation for large deflection was derived, and by which the shearing defor-mation involved in the symmetrical circular plates was investigated analytically. By thisequation, the bending problem and buckling load of a circular plate were discussed. Abetter approximation than those from the elassical theory is obtained.
