Abstract
The problems of designing linear phase FIR digital filters using window functions are discussed. The design of linear phase FIR digital filters using practical non-ideal frequency characteristic models is evaluated. Ladder and raised cosine roll-off, etc. function models are studied. Results show that the design procedure of FIR filters is simplified because of the clear object, direct method, and elimination of the Gibbs phenomenon.
