Optimizing control of a distillation column based on inferential estimation with a microcomputer

A steady-state optimizing control technique for a distillation column is developed. A steady-state model of the distillation column is built according to the normal oper ating data. Based on this a model inferning the feedstream componets is set up. In optimizing control scheme, the problems of model updating for optimization and the constraints changes on real system are considered. The optimizing control system works in industry with satifaction.
