Abstract
The fuzzy relation equation is formulated on the basis of statistical data and synthetical decision matrix. For the multiple-objective optimal design of speed reducers, the order of component objective function and the collocation scheme of weighting factors are then obtained from using the principle of degree of closing. The technique proposed here to solve the optimal design of speed reducers and the corresponding calculation are of practical reference value.
