Design and implementation of a data processing software for process modeling

A general-purpose software package for data processing used for(chemical engineering) process modeling, PROM-1, was developed. It is implemented in IBM-PC, PC/XT, and compatible computers. The functions of PROM-1 include experimental design, curve fitting, parameter estimation and statistical test. Its main features are standard module structure, menu selection, interactive input/output and universality. After one year use, this software package has proved to be easy to operate and that it can shorten the period of process modeling research work.
