Abstract
The sulfur dioxide removal from flue gas was investigated using a supported molten salt membrane.The mathematical model of SO2 transfer in the membrane was established with the use of non-equilibrium thermodynamics theory and calculated on an electronic computer.The experimental quantities,such as the electric current density,the concentration of SO2 and the gas flow rate in cathode compartment were tested.The experimental results were in good agree ment with the model.
