Optimization Design of the Reed Valves for Reciprocating Compressor

A working process simulation model was established in accordance with the dynamic process of reciprocating compressor and the valve dynamic equations. The machine optimization design method in combination with the reed valves geometry shape was employed to optimize the design. The calculation results are in close agreement with the experimental data. It is shown that the specific volumentric energy may be reduced by 8%. therefore energy saving effects are realized.
