Influence of Preload Factor on the Stability of Three-Lobe Journal Bearing

Three-lobe journal bearing is taken as the research subject.The influences of preload factor on stability of three-lobe journal bearing are discussed through solving the Reynolds equation numerically with Matlab language.A series of regular curves of stability versus preload factor of the bearing are(obtained) in the case of different eccentricity ratio and length-to-diameter ratio,and these curves are analyzed theoretically.
