    • Based on neural networks (NNs) and genetic algorithms (GAs), the architecture, design and implementation of an online optimization software were discussed. It has been applied to methanol synthesis online optimization successfully. Furthermore, the characteristics of this kind of software are discussed and the further applications are prospected.
