Synthesis of Thiourea Dioxide by Batch Method

By using thiourea and hydrogen peroxide solution as the raw materials, thiourea dioxide (TD) was synthesed by batch method in wafer-medium. The factors affecting reaction results such as additive, temperature, time, feed ratio were discussed. The results show that it is advantageous to the primary reaction when the additive is added, the temperature is dropped down and the reaction time is cut short. Sulphat concentration in products was examined.Deeper oxidation of TD is primary series by-reaction, and it is connected with the molecular structure of TD.
