Abstract
Based on the assumption of non-isotropic turbulent flow in an agitated vessel, a new semi-theoretical correlation is proposed for the prediction of sauter mean drop size of a liquid-liquid dispersion system with viscous dispersed phase. The correlation is d_(32)/L=A(L/T)~nWe~(-1)(1+BVi) where A, B and n are constants, determined by experimental data.
