    Morphology and Mechanical Property of Reactive Injection Molding Polyurethane and Vinyl Ester Resin Interpenetrating Polymer Networks Containing Industrial Graft Polyol

    • Two kinds of polyurethane(PU)and vinyl ester resin(VER)interpenetrating polymer network(IPN)containing some industrial graft polyol were synthesized by using toluene diisocynate(TDI)or uretonimine modified pure 4,4'-diphenyl methane diisocynate (MDI)respectively. The observation of electron scanning microscopy and the measurements of DSC show that,for IPNs prepared with TDI,the compatibility between the PU and VER networks is improved so much by adding less amount of such a graft polyol that it exhibits the best tensile strength over all IPNs studied here.Howevcr the IPNs synthesized with MDI but including graft polyol,the compatibility between the two networks is poor,and they all reveal poor strength.
