Abstract
The poisoning of H 2S on Ni foil catalyst for the methanation reaction was investigated. The infected zone model (IZM) was checked using the data obtained from the poisoning experiments and the model parameters was estimated by the simulation of IZM from the experimental data. Based upon the estimated value of the model parameter, the poisoning mechanism and the physical meaning of the exponent of the model equation were discussed.
