    Electron Temperature in Lower Hybrid Current Driven Plasmas in HT-7 Tokamak

    • This paper investigates the electron temperature and the energy confinement with different electron densities and lower hybrid wave (LHW) injected powers in HT-7 tokamak. The electron temperature increases with the increasing of the LHW power when electron density is from 1.3×1019 to 2.6 ×1019m-3. The electron temperature reaches the largest value of 1.37 keV when electron density is 1.3×1019 m-3 and LHW power is 400 kW. Energy confinement time is in good agreement with the low confinement mode scaling law of ITER89-P in these experiments. The large temperature gradient appears obviously in the electron temperature profile when the electron density is 1.71×1019 m-3 and LHW power is 260 kW.
