    Internal Pressure of Molten Salts and Distance Between Positive and Negative Ions

    • It is found that the model of corresponding state for the internal pressure of liquids, proposed by our previous work, is also applicable to the molten alkali metal halides. The parameter of model, the characteristic constant b , is directly proportional to the distance between the positive and negative ions in the crystals, which makes the model able to predict internal pressures of molten alkali metal halides. The agreement between the predictive and experimental values is satisfactory.
