On the elastic recovery of the warw forged steel

The distinct advantages of precision warm forged steel are the improvement of mechanical properties and the simplification of fabricating process. However, the steel, undergone the warm forged treatment will change more or less its dimensions which is principally induced by the inherent properties of its elastic recovery and its thermal elasticity. Thus, the author has presented a formulated equation to calculate the elastic recovery for the warm forged stainless steel and a diagram drawn for its application.
