Abstract
The synthesis reaction of dichloropropanol from glycerol and hydrochloride catalyzed by cheap organic
acid under mild conditions was studied. Based on large amount of experimental data, the kinetic equations with
different catalysts were established. The effects of temperature and catalyst content on the glycerol
hydrochiorination were investigated. The optimum operation temperature curve was obtained by the analysis of the
effects of reactant concentration and temperature.
