    Mathematical Modeling of the Reactor Synthesizing Butanol from Butyraldehyde by Hydrogenation

    • On the basis of the analysis of thermodynamics and kinetics of hydrogenation system synthesizing butanol from (butyraldehyde), the tubular reactor synthesizing butanol from butyraldehyde was mathematically simulated through one-dimensional mathematical model. The results are close to the industrial data. The influence of reaction temperature, coolant temperature, reaction pressure and reactor air speed was predicted. From the calculated results, the simulation data of the reactor synthesizing butanol from butyraldehyde are identical with the industrial data.
