The Influence Analysis of UDP Traffic to Router Performance

With the rapid development of Internet, Internet traffic has not only augmented in volume, but also changed in nature, especially in multimedia flows which do not adopt TCP congestion control policy. The increase of this kind of traffic can result in unfairness and danger of congestion collapse. This paper evinces the above problems by simulation, and applies active control in routers to solve them.
