Measuring bubble size distribution on line by photoelectric capillary probe

The size distribution of bubbles can be precisely and fast measured by a capillary photoelectric probe with a computer. Based On the analysis of properties of physical and geometric optics of the probe, its design criteria and calculation formula are put forward. The structure, computer interface and applied software of the system are described. The sizes of measured bubbles are also calibrated, and the experimental results in foam fractionation column are given.
