    Next Generation Sequencing Simulator for Metagenomics by Using GPU

    • A customizable metagenome simulation system——NeSSM (Next Generation Sequencing Simulator for Metagenomics) is presented here. By combining all the available genomes currently and some initial metagenome sequencing information, the system can create a simulated metagenome closer than ever to the reality. In order to reduce the system running time, we used the highly parallel arithmetic by using GPU. Currently, NeSSM supports 454 and Illumina sequencing platforms.
