Influence of the Hard-Segment Content on the Structure and Properties of Segmented Polyurea

    • Polyurea was prepared from amine terminated polyether(Jeffamine D-2000),isophorone(diisocyanate)(IPDI) and diethyltoluene diamine(DETDA) as primary materials. The influences of hard-(segment) content on the degree of the hydrogen bonding of urea groups,micro-structure and properties of polyurea films were studied by means of FT-IR,DSC,SEM and tensile tester. The results show that with the increase of hard-segment content, the degree of hydrogen bonding of urea groups and the degree of(order) for hard-segment also increase, while the value of SR_s,represent of microphase separation for(soft-segment) decreases.Besides, these materials have better mechanical properties at 35% hard-segment(content).
