Abstract

Seven symmetric or unsymmetric substituted tetraphenylporphyrins TPP(NO_2)_n, TPP(NH_2)_nn=0, 1, 3, 4were prepared by condensation of mixed aldehydes with pyrrole. Their absorption spectra were studied. It was found, the spectra are evidently influenced by the substituents on phenyl groups, furthermore, solvents used could affect the characteristics of their absorption spectra. Fluorescence spectra of those compounds were also measured and discussed.
